happy...in a crunchy sorta

I'm a little on the edge for those who don't know me very well. By that I mean I am on the verge of being an uber-crunchy-granola type of person. However, there are a few things that keep me from going completely over the edge; my beloved gas guzzling SUV, my occasional need for a good Clorox wipe(gasp), and the desire to have my children dressed in some of the cutest 'unorganic' clothes. However, we do not use paper towels(at least for the most part), we recycle(which sometimes means a big stockpile in the garage), we use green cleaners(I even steam clean my tile), we eat organic food(except Ben and Jerry's), I cloth diaper, etc... These things make me happy. They give me that giddy feeling like you used to get with your high school crush. Anyways, I peered out my kitchen window today and saw this..

And that made me very happy

can you feel...

the love tonight...I am reminded of the Lion King song. Sweet engagement. Don't you just love that time in life? It reminds me of my own and it is so fun reliving those moments with couples who are experiencing it. Meet Jeff(Jefe is what I call him, he's kinda famous...you know?) and Emily(his lovely fiance). They are cute together and bless her for putting up with him! :)
Enough about that and on to the pictures. It was a scorcher out. Looks like I will be doing photo shoots starting even later now as the sun just doesn't want to go down. I hope you enjoy your preview!

itty bitty

I really think my mouth dropped open when I saw this itty bitty guy. Just over a week old and he was just so tiny. Maybe it's because I have big babies, because that extra 2 or 3 pounds really does seem to make a difference. Man was he precious. He just curled right up. He slept the entire time and the whole shoot only took an hour. I usually reserve a minimum of 2 for a newborn session with most lasting upwards of 3 hours. He was perfect. Moldable. Pliable. Just perfect. I hope you enjoy your peak...

so much cuteness

So sweet. So perfect. So much hair. So lovely.
This little sweetie gave me a run for it at the beginning. Not cranky. Just awake. Happy. And awake. But, a little walking and rocking and I had a solid sleeper! Thanks Laurie for letting me do my thing! I sure hope you enjoy your sneak peak. It was hard to pick just a couple!

(this one is for great grandma)

(Mom is an Aggie but I think Miss P is going the opposite direction!)
