Believer

When you see this...
you can't help but become a believer. It is possible to be pregnant(and have already had one child) and have the most rockin stomach EVER! Really, I would go shirtless if my stomach looked anything like this!
And lets not forget about the sweet soon to be big brother. Can't you tell he loves his mama?

Mandy, hope you enjoy your preview!

My babes

I have been doing mentoring sessions through a wonderful photographer, Drew B. She also has an awesome website, www.momtog.com. It is geared towards mothers who love to take pictures of their little ones. She posts fantastic tips and tricks as well as other photography advice. Anyways, I feel like I have grown so much since starting my sessions with her. No matter who you are or what you do, there is always areas for improvement. I love getting feedback about my photos and areas/skills that I really need to work on. So, this weeks homework was to try shooting at sunset but shooting directly into the light. It is always hard to photograph your own kids let alone, a two year old. But, I bribed(not my baby just my son) and am pretty happy with the results!
My daughter Teagen for her 3 month pictures!

Forgotten Love

I totally forgot how much I love doing pet photography. Thanks to the R family, I was reminded once again! Not only did they have the most loving dog ever but also the cutest little baby with the bluest eyes you have ever seen! He melted my heart with his pouty lip. I love pouty lips. No idea why but I think they are the cutest thing ever! Thank you so much for letting me photograph your beautiful family...I hope you enjoy!

Happy Friday

I have been with Carson since the beginning. Well, at least in the 'picture' sense. She has gotten so much bigger since our 3 month photo shoot! It has been fun to watch how the pictures have progressed and changed as her little personality has started to blossom. She has the chubbiest cheeks and the baldest head and is o-so cute.
Lindsay, here is to making your Friday a little better and to make up for(at least a mere fraction of) covering me on my maternity leave! Maybe by the time she is two I will have made up for it! :)

Smokin

Hot! That is. What an awesome session. Can't you tell she is one rockin' momma! We had so much fun. I learned that photographing a willing adult is MUCH easier than a 'less than willing toddler'! It was definitely a fun change from what I am used to!  :)
Thanks Phyllis! I had so much fun. I hope you enjoy! There are many more to come!

Texas Heat

This will be the last photo shoot that I do at 10 in the morning. It was just plain hot. Brutal. Red cheeks all the way around.(hence all the black and white pictures!) We had fun though. We threw many rocks into the stream and ran all around. What a great family...and it doesn't help that they are so darn cute! Hope you enjoy!

On. The. Go.

That is the way to describe this little one. So cute, so vibrant, so 'on the go'. She is in full force 'two year old' mode. Not a bad thing at all. She is a pure delight. The goal was a family shot. Not an easy feat at any age but especially not with a two year old. I know this all too well from personal experience. She did wonderful and I think the pictures show it! Here is to the B family, I hope you enjoy!

The B Factor

Baldness that is. It is so darn cute. I just love a little bald baby, especially a snugly one. This time I didn't get one but two! Such sweet babies they were. One even had an ongoing ear infection and will be getting tubes THIS week. You wouldn't know it by meeting him. Happy one year birthday! Hope you enjoy!

a wee little one

Under a week old and a pure bundle. A surprise to all as many had thought he would be a she. What a wonderful little guy he was. He still had the baby 'flakes' on his skin...I can't think of a more perfect time to be photographed! Congrats and I hope you enjoy your peak!

hello in there!

I love maternity pictures...really, I love pregnant people. They just sparkle and glow. Laurie was no exception. It was so hot out and she was so willing. I couldn't even walk when I was this far along yet alone have a great attitude about getting my picture taken! She just has it!

Luck

Sometimes, you get lucky. You snap the perfect picture. The 'angle' isn't right, the 'pose' isn't right and the technical aspects of the shot are far less than perfect. But, the picture tells a story. The story is what makes it so perfect. That is why I love photography. I get to see the story, the bond between a loving brother and sister. The things you 'miss' in the everyday life. The little details that are so easily looked over but when captured in a picture, the memories will last a lifetime. I got lucky on the photo shoot. I snapped so many pictures that are far less than perfect but yet are some of my favorite shots ever. Take a look. Thank you to the F. family for letting me capture these moments.
